Guest House "Ela" We are a Bulgarian English speaking couple. Our guesthouse and restaurant is located in a small peaceful resort. Set in the woodlands of the Rila National Park, 5 km. from the town of Dolna Banya. Our dwelling is 1 hours drive from Sofia airport. We are based 25 mins from Borovets ski resort. A shuttle service will be provided too and from Sofia airport on request. Accomodation We offer 6 Bedrooms all with en-suites, sky tv and wireless internet. Dining room with fireplace. Large living room with Bar, fireplace. Comfortable seating arrangement, music and wireless internet.Outside there are private gardens, seating area and parking. Bedroom 1 - 1 double bed, 1 single bed, en-suite and large private terrace - 30€ per night. Bedroom 2 - 1 double bedroom with en-suite and private terrace -25€ per night. Bedroom 3 - 1 double bed with en-suite - 25€ per night. Bedroom 4 -2 single beds with en-suite and private terrace - 25€ per night. Bedroom 5 - 2 single beds with en-suite and private terrace - 25€ per night. Bedroom 6 - 1 double bed and en-suite - 25€ per night. For a single person the cost of 1 bedroom - 20€ per night. Bedrooms without terraces have the option to use the communal terrace. All prices include cooked or continental breakfast. Restaurant We also provide a restaurant within our guesthouse premises. Our menu is varied, consisting of Bulgarian, Italian, Indian, Chinese and English cuisines. Our Menu will also cover Vegetarians and people with food allergies on request. All our food is homemade using as much organic produce as possible. A selection of Alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks are also provided in the restaurant. Weddings, Conferences and general party's are welcome. Please note if you are not staying guests, then reservations have to be made. Examples of food provided: Bulgarian style salads, Vegetarian lasagne's, Mixed grills, Variation of curries, Spaghetti bolanaise, chilli coni, beef cassarole's and much more! Skiing and Snowboarding, Mountain Tourism Borovets is Bulgaria's first ski resort, dating back to the 19 century. The resort is set amidst pine forests, nestled in the foothills of Balkans highest peak Mount Mussala (2,925 metres above sea level). Snow is plentiful between the months of December and April, making a truly wonderful destination for skiers of all abilities. We provide a shuttle Service to and from Borovets on a daily basis. Not only will you have a full days skiing in a popular resort, but also a peaceful retreat at our guest house, where a homely atmosphere awaits you.We employ qualified experienced tutors and guides who can satisfy your needs at all levels. We can also offer many individual courses/off piste skiing & snowboarding etc which could be specified according to customer's requests. The Rila National Park boundary is 2km's from the footstep to our guest house. We employ a qualified guide who can cater for hikers at all levels. June, July, August and September are prime months too visit the park as the temperature's are warm and the visability is good. We recommend that you are equipped with sturdy walking boots, rucksack, waterproof jacket and trousers. The park was established, February 24th 1992 to conserve the heritage of the Rila mountains as well as local traditions and culture. The mountain peaks along the main ridges rise to an average height of 2,700 meters above sea level and includes the highest peak in the Balkan peninsula, Mussala ( 2,925 meters). The park contains large meadows, breathtaking lush forests and over 100 peaks above 2,000 meters as well as a variety of rock faces, precipices, caves, deep canyons and waterfalls.
