Optics LILIA was established in 2012. It began operating in Veliko Tarnovo, in 2013 in Gorna Oryahovitsa, and in 2014 in the village of Selanovtsi. At present, examinations are performed in the Eye Clinics located within the optical centers in Gorna Oryahovitsa and Selanovtsi, using the latest generation Japanese computerized diagnostic equipment. All types of eyeglasses are manufactured by us using a French fully automated system.

Dr. Ivan Kahchiev graduated in Medicine at the Higher Medical Institute – Pleven in 2001. He specialized “Ophthalmology” at the Department of Ophthalmology at UMHAT “Aleksandrovska” – Sofia in 2005, and until 2011 continued his specialization at the Ophthalmology Clinic of the National Multi-profile Transport Hospital “Tsar Boris III” – Sofia. In 2011 he passed the state exam and received his recognized diploma in Ophthalmology from the Medical University – Sofia.

Examinations with next‑generation Japanese diagnostic equipment
The clinic operates with the latest Japanese machines for comprehensive visual assessment.

Japanese dioptrometer – used to measure diopters, UV protection, and pupillary distance of the patient’s existing eyeglasses or contact lenses. This device is also used for centering the lenses before manufacturing the eyeglasses.

The Japanese Nidek Tonoref III determines the percentage of cataract development and documents the stage of progression. The patient receives an image of the lens of the examined eye. The patient has reduced vision and is referred for planned cataract surgery on the left eye.

Computerized perimeter used to assess peripheral vision. Peripheral vision may be affected by diseases such as glaucoma, tumors, and other conditions. Glaucoma is a silent disease — what glaucoma steals, it never returns. It leads to blindness, but early detection preserves the patient’s vision.
Nidek SL‑250 biomicroscope – used for examination of the anterior segment of the eye, for minor surgical procedures, removal of foreign bodies, ingrown eyelashes, etc.

Canton ACP‑902 electronic vision chart with remote control – used for visual acuity testing. Includes a large number of diagnostic tests.
