Fomus Ltd.

Fomus Ltd. is the official distributor of Kodak, Gretag, Canon and San Disk for Bulgaria. On a world scale Kodak is among the leading well-known brands – а synonym for high quality products and services. Starting in 1991 we set ourselves the task of popularizing on the Bulgarian market a product known since then only by few professionals. Since then up to the present Fomus Ltd. mainly is dealing with import and wholesale of amateur and professional Kodak photo materials. Developing the idea to offer Kodak products to more customers, in September 1991 the first photo shop in Tzum was opened, and in September 1992 – the firs outlet with quality control in Bulgaria – Kodak Express. In 1994 Fomus Ltd. signed a distributor agreement with Kodak Ltd. Together with widening the range of the Kodak products, the Kodak Express chain develops and currently there are more than 80 shops enlisted. In April 1995 was signed the agreement for distribution rights in Bulgaria between Fomus Ltd. and Gretag Imaging. Gretag is one of the leading providers of imaging solutions and manufacturer of miniphotolabs. The first Gretag minilab Net Printer Digital Station started work in the beginning of 2001 in the newly opened Kodak Express “Digital Center”. Since 1998 Fomus Ltd. is the official distributor of Canon – photo and video products. In September 1995 the annual photography meeting Photovacation organized by “Photographic Society - Bulgaria” was reinstated with the assistance of Kodak Ltd. and Fomus Ltd. In April 2001 Fomus celebrated its 10-th anniversary and organized the exhibition “National Review – competition for Contemporary Bulgarian Photography 1991 – 2001”. There were 2220 photos in the amateur and professional sectors and the official collection gathered the best 425 photos by 134 artists. Today we could asseverate that the target is achieved. Now Fomus Ltd. has warehouses in several Bulgarian cities and offers a wide range of amateur and professional products: films, batteries, photo cameras, paper – in roll and sheets, chemistry, as well as photoframes, albums, digital cameras, photographic bags, accessories, minilabs, Canon photo and video products. In 2002 Fomus Ltd. became a distributor of San Disk – world leading supplier of flash memory data storage products used in a wide variety of electronic systems, offering solutions in flash memory cards, readers, adapters and accessories.
