Since year 2001, DIONYSSOMARBLE-BULGARIA Ltd. is in possession of concession rights for exploitation of Vratza lime deposit - Dionysso. At present, DIONYSSOMARBLE-BULGARIA ltd exports more than 90% of its production to Greece, Italy, Germany, Hungary, Serbia, Romania and China. Dionyssomarble Bulgaria Ltd. is representative for Bulgarian market of all the products of Dionyssomarble Group. At present we continue our efforts in prospecting and searching for new stone materials in Bulgaria. Since august 2004, Dionyssomarble Bulgaria is member of Bulgarian Mining Chamber. LOCATION DIONYSSOMARBLE-BULGARIA exploits limestone quarry Dionysso. The quarry is located near Varbeshnitsa village - district of Vratza. The quarry is at 16 km from Vratza and 13 km from Mezdra (road E 79 Sofia - Vidin) ECOLOGICAL PROJECTS DIONYSSOMARBLE BULGARIA carries out its activities in agreement with the latest mining technologies. That is why we can face the latest ecological requirements. Our primary objective is by the mining technology to obtain maximum use of the produced stone and in the same time to preserve the environment from pollution. In the mining process no hazard dust and gas emissions are emitted. Leading Bulgarian specialists has developed a project for the recultivation of the damaged area. We strictly apply this project in our operational process. The Deposit The deposit covers area of 0.6 km2 and has calculated reserves of 443 240 m? of Vratza limestone with option to enlarge them up to 1 380 000 m?. Presently we lead exploitation works on seven working benches and one more bench is in process of formation. The output for year 2001 was 2228 m3. The quarry is developed into the north bed of Mezdra syncline, which is formed of upper cretaceous maestrichtian age calciferous rocks. The limestone is defined as micritic to biomicritic, calcitic with relatively high content of SiO2. The quarry has capacity of 7 000 m? gang saw blocks per annum. The basic method of mining is cutting with diamond wire saws. We are in possession of seven diamond wire saws Benneti. We use also frontal loaders, excavator and dumper Caterpillar.
