The company Orto1 was founded in 2006 in the city of Plovdiv by Eng. Lyuben Krastev.

During his studies at Brno University, Eng. Lyuben Krastev became acquainted with the development of orthopedic technical devices. During his teaching activity at the institute, the idea was born to apply the acquired knowledge in Bulgaria.

The first store for orthopedic technical devices in Plovdiv opened its doors.
The realization was supported by contacts and close friendships with leading Czech orthopedic companies.
The long‑standing close business relations continue to this day.

Continuing the family tradition, two more new stores and an Orthopedic Center opened in the capital.
The connection between them is not only family‑based but also professional, preserving the knowledge and experience gained in the Czech Republic.
All specialists and associates of the company have undergone professional training and possess the required certificates and diplomas.
We regularly participate in seminars and exhibitions related to innovations in orthopedics.

As a result, we established contact and began importing children’s orthopedic shoes from Poland that meet all orthopedic criteria.
The products we offer are manufactured by leading Czech and Polish producers.
All items are certified and, when required, clinically tested within the European Union.
Tests have been conducted for material safety as well as the effects of their use.
Health safety is guaranteed by the Czech Orthopedic Society and the Institute for Testing and Certification in Zlín.

Individual insoles are manufactured at the Medical Technical Laboratory – Prosthetics Center, located in Sofia, Tokuda Hospital.
The main activity of the center is the production of prostheses and orthopedic technical devices for upper and lower limbs.

The exchange of experience and joint work between our specialists allows us to approach each orthopedic problem individually.

DIAGNOSTICS AND CONSULTATIONS

The plantograph is a device used to obtain a footprint of the foot.

It provides up‑to‑date information about the current condition of the feet.

Early diagnosis of deformities in children and adults significantly increases the chances of successful correction with specialized orthopedic insoles.

They are created and selected based on the recorded footprint. The human foot consists of a surface on which loads are distributed at specific points.

The footprint made using a plantograph is called a plantogram.

It contains information about how the body’s pressure is distributed across the feet and in which zones increased pressure is observed.
Orthotists study the plantogram, analyze the shape, evaluate the ratio of support points, and provide conclusions regarding the appropriate treatment and necessary orthopedic devices.

ORTHOPEDIC INSOLES – THERMO‑CORK + ALVEO

They are individually made after taking a preliminary footprint of the feet.

If there are recommendations from an orthopedic doctor, they are taken into consideration.

They provide support for the transverse and longitudinal arches and help properly distribute the load.

They are suitable for rehabilitation after injuries of the musculoskeletal system.

The production of this type of device allows for limb equalization through appropriate correction when a length difference is present.

After adapting to movement with an individual insole, a feeling of comfort and lightness is achieved.

The manufacturing method is vacuum‑thermal. The materials used are thermo‑cork and breathable ALVEO fabric.

The production period is 10 to 15 working days.

Orders, 3D footprint scanning, plantogram and consultation with an orthotist are performed on site in our locations.
