Heating
In recent years, there has been rapid global development in heating technologies. If 10–15 years ago natural gas had practically no alternative in Europe in terms of convenience and monthly costs, innovations in air‑conditioning systems and pellet heating now offer a better, cheaper, and environmentally friendly alternative.
Heating pellets are wood shavings pressed under high pressure (without binding additives), usually a by‑product of the wood‑processing industry. Pellets are considered an ecological fuel because they are carbon‑neutral. Through various electronic components, the combustion process is fully automated and requires no human intervention, without affecting comfort.

Solar Collectors
Technologies for heating water using solar energy have higher efficiency compared to other solar technologies. Efficiency depends on the location and positioning of the solar collectors.
Solar water heaters are one of the most widespread and modern methods for energy‑efficient water heating. They are mainly flat‑plate and vacuum‑tube types.
Flat Solar Collectors
Flat solar collectors can be non‑selective and selective, with the only but significant difference being the coating of the absorbing layer.
The coating of non‑selective collectors is usually powder‑coated black sheet metal, while selective collectors have a high‑selective coating that absorbs over 95% of sunlight.
The investment in a solar system with flat collectors pays off in less than 3–4 years, and the durability of the hot water system guarantees many years of economical operation.
Practically, they can be installed anywhere.
Vacuum-Tube Solar Collectors
Vacuum-tube solar collectors come in 2 types – direct-flow and heat-pipe.
In direct-flow collectors, the heat-transfer fluid circulates through copper tubes placed inside vacuum tubes, and the heated fluid accumulates in a manifold tube positioned perpendicular to the vacuum tubes.
In heat-pipe collectors, a fully sealed fluid is inserted inside the vacuum tube. At one end, it contacts the heat pipe, transfers heat to it, and the heat pipe itself is placed tightly inside a sleeve that directly contacts the heat-transfer fluid in the solar system.
Practice shows that vacuum-tube collectors produce more hot water annually compared to flat solar collectors.
