VEREN Bookstore

"VEREN" is a Christian publishing house and bookstore established in 1991. Since 1997 it has been located in the literary center of Sofia at Slaveykov Square 1.

To date, VEREN Publishing has released more than 200 titles in the Christian literature genre, many of which are by Bulgarian authors. The catalog includes children's books with a thematic focus on Christian faith and values, Christian poetry, Bible commentaries, apologetics, books for spiritual growth, collections of daily Bible readings, and specialized literature. “Basic Theology” by Charles Ryrie, the 6‑volume Bible commentary by W. MacDonald, and “The Retold Bible in Stories and Pictures” by G. Ingversen have been well‑known to readers for decades. A major achievement of the publishing team is the revised edition of the Bible in contemporary Bulgarian, first published in 2000. Experts consider this revision a very serious and accurate modernization of the P. R. Slaveykov translation. To date, it has had 8 editions.

VEREN Publishing does not belong to any church denomination and selects quality books from all branches of Christianity. Its mission is to provide accessible and popular introductions to Christianity, as well as to publish books and commentaries that help a wide range of readers better understand the Bible.

VEREN Bookstore offers valuable theological literature from Orthodox, Catholic, and Protestant authors. Here you will find almost all established and widely used editions of the Bible in Bulgarian, Bibles in other languages, Bible atlases, reference works, authoritative commentaries, and works by classic Christian authors. The bookstore also offers a rich selection of books on relationships, family, parenting, children’s literature, as well as information on various religions and new religious movements, including literature that helps identify socially harmful religious groups.

Beyond specialized theological literature, VEREN Bookstore offers many children’s books, gift editions, dictionaries, foreign‑language learning materials, cookbooks, greeting cards, and souvenirs.
VEREN Bookstore is also available online. The online shop veren.bg is one of the first online bookstores in Bulgaria and provides an excellent opportunity to browse available titles and order them remotely.

VEREN COPY CENTER

Offers high‑quality black‑and‑white copying, color copying and printing up to A3 format, binding with metal or plastic spirals, thermal binding, textbook and book binding to exact size with PVC covers, laminating, scanning, brochure and blueprint folding, bookbinding services. We produce business cards, brochures, badges, pins, and printed materials in small quantities.

SMALL‑RUN BOOK PRINTING

We offer small‑run book printing. The technology is suitable for print runs between 50 and 500 copies. For a specific quote, please contact us at the listed phone numbers or email.

HALL FOR RENT

VEREN Hall is located at Slaveykov Square 1, (next to VEREN Bookstore), in the center of Sofia. It is available for hourly rental – suitable for seminars, trainings, team‑building events, presentations, musical performances, rehearsals. The hall has around 100 seats, audio recording capability, overhead projector and screen, piano, and table tennis. It has independent ventilation.

The windows have blinds, allowing control of outside light when using a multimedia projector. Folding tables are available. When used, the hall capacity is 50 seats. Chairs and tables are movable, allowing flexible arrangement depending on the event. There is a designated area for serving hot and cold drinks and snacks.

Coffee breaks can be arranged. The hall is accessible from 9:00 to 21:00, Monday to Saturday.
