Furniture SDM – MDS 98 – Direct Import of Antique, Vintage and Retro Solid Wood Furniture from Europe
In the era of mass industrial production and a culture of short-lived interior solutions, authenticity, aesthetic depth and the timeless value of classic furnishings have become exceptionally valuable. Modern discerning consumers, collectors and interior designers are increasingly rediscovering the magic of furniture with its own history, character and distinctive craftsmanship. Furniture SDM (operated by the commercial company “MDS 98” EOOD) is a leader on the Bulgarian market in the direct import, distribution, rental and artisan restoration of authentic antique, vintage and retro solid wood furniture. Based in Sofia, our company has built a strong network for selecting second-hand furniture of exceptional artistic value, imported directly from the heart of Western Europe – Belgium, Germany and Italy.
Our central showroom and warehouse are strategically located at Sofia, Ilientsi district, 12 Kiril Blagoev St. (in the building of the former “Aroma” cosmetics factory). This location provides excellent logistical accessibility and allows us to maintain a large inventory of constantly updated items. Every individual piece – from a solid oak dining table to an elegant classic display cabinet – is personally selected by our experts on site in Europe. We do not offer imitations or pressed MDF and chipboard panels; our portfolio consists entirely of heavy, durable and noble natural wood furniture that has undergone strict phytosanitary treatment and technical inspection, ensuring our customers receive quality that is literally proven and tested by time.
The activities of “MDS 98” EOOD go beyond conventional trading. We offer our customers a complete range of individual interior services. We have our own artisan workshop for professional restoration, where we revive damaged wood carvings, replace authentic spring units and restore fine finishes with shellac and wax. For the convenience of customers in the Sofia region, we provide fast and reliable transport at preferential prices from BGN 0 to 30, as well as flexible installment purchase (leasing) options through leading financial institutions. Whether you are transforming your private home, furnishing an authentic traditional-style establishment, or looking for unique decorations for rent for a film production, Furniture SDM is your professional and artisan bridge to timeless European classics.
Classic Upholstered Furniture and Solid Wood Chairs
The upholstered furniture in the Furniture SDM catalog represents a perfect combination of ergonomic comfort and aristocratic exterior aesthetics. We offer authentic Baroque suites, leather armchairs in classic Chesterfield style, armchairs with elegant curved solid walnut legs and sturdy Gothic sofas. These items are distinguished by structural frame stability that is difficult to achieve in modern mass furniture production.
We pay special attention to our chair section. Here you will find dining chairs with high backs made of solid oak, models with hand-woven rattan, as well as chairs with luxurious tapestry or velvet upholstery preserved in excellent condition. These pieces are ideal for creating a grand, cozy and distinguished atmosphere in home dining rooms, conference halls, hunting residences and reception rooms.

Particularly sought after are our sets of extendable dining tables paired with original chairs in the same historical style.
Here you can find masterpieces of furniture craftsmanship, including original tables in the iconic Chippendale style, characterized by claw-and-ball feet and fine perimeter ornaments. Luxury classic display cabinets and Louis XV-style cabinets are ideal for showcasing valuable porcelain, crystal sets and collections. These pieces add architectural height to the room and become a focal point of the interior. Thanks to the strength of old European oak and walnut, these cabinets do not suffer from sagging shelves or warped doors, issues often seen with modern panels.
