My name is Stoyo Petkov Petkov. I was born not so long ago, in 1989 on June 21st, in Plovdiv, where I completed my secondary education at the Private Specialized High School "Klasik" with Italian language.

After 2008 I began working in photography, which motivated me to develop in this direction and I enrolled in numerous photography courses.

After 7 years of experience and searching for different techniques, in 2015 I created my first solo exhibition “The Lens – My Third Eye”.

In the following years I continued working in portrait and artistic photography. That is where I developed the most.

In 2018 I also began working with video shooting and editing. The next major project came in the autumn of 2018 – “Sinking”, a multimedia theatrical performance with performance‑art elements. The videos and a large part of the photos in the show are my work. Two more similar projects followed.

In 2019 I filmed three videos with fashion and artistic direction. Participation with multimedia in the performance “LOVE IS A MYSTERY”. In 2019 I participated in Photo Salon Plovdiv with a selected photo in the category “My City – European Capital of Culture”, as well as in numerous other photo salons in 2019 and 2020. Also, one of my photos was selected in the Italian edition of Venus.

Since 2020 I sign my works with the pseudonym TONINO PETKOV. Together with my manager we decided it is easier to remember and works better for the European market.

“THE SOUL BEHIND THE EYES” is my second solo exhibition. It features well‑known Bulgarian actors and musicians. I am grateful to Vlado Mihaylov, Velislav Pavlov, Niketsa, Delyan Iliev and others for agreeing to be photographed. A video project intended for Italy is also upcoming, created especially for a particular artist. For now, it is a secret.

I am also preparing to create a place where I can work, create and develop my photography and other projects related to theatre, cinema and photography.

What makes my work unique and interesting is the fact that I am perhaps the only photographer in Bulgaria working professionally with reduced vision. Visual arts are difficult to access for people like me, but here I am proving that it is possible. I want to show that nothing is impossible.

Actually, my manager and I are planning to create several workshops for people with reduced vision who want to work in photography, cinema or theatre. I love challenges and new things. A person is here to keep the wheel turning and to leave a mark, despite everything and everyone.

Each photo book is high‑quality, 100% handmade. All materials used in the production of the photo books are manufactured within the European Union. Photo books or wedding albums are produced after approval of a preliminary digital version and confirmation of all material details. The digital version provides an accurate idea of the size, composition and background color (if any) of each page. The covers are handmade and therefore cannot be presented digitally before production.
