METALOCERAMICA Ltd – Yambol produces parts using the method of powder metallurgy (sintering) on the base of a drawing presented by the client. There are some reasons that made the powder metallurgy a leader in the traditional methods and technologies in metalworking. - considerable saving of materials, labour and energy - ability to produce powder metallurgy products with complicated configuration and high- précised dimensions - ability to get products and materials with unique properties - high level of automation in the process of production, leading to high productivity - low production cost price The technological process is in the following consequence: - Pressing the mixture of metal powder in the pressmould of a press - Burning the pressed parts in a furnace of hydrogen medium - Extra treatments /heat treatment, oxidation, oil impregning, sizing, mechanical treatment, rattle barrel, etc./ The metal powders used in the production are iron and its alloys, copper, bronze and brass. The parts we produce could be divided into three main groups. 1. Antifrictionalpowder metallurgy products: They are self-lubricating bearings according to their use. A certain quantity of graphite and the open pores filled with petroleum oil increase the wear resistance and the allowable load as well as decreases considerably the friction coefficient. Mainly, they are applied in units where extra lubrication is impossible. We produce a wide range of parts which Dinamo–Sliven uses into dynamos and starter motors for VAZ and Perkins. Parts on the base of iron and bronze, belonging to this group, are used in pallet tracks, transporters, silage combines, hydraulic and pneumatic cylinders, spherical bearings for the electrical motors of ventilators etc. 2. Constuctional powder metallurgy products They are common in the use of machine building. They are applied in the production of fire- arms, magnet disk drives, locks, chicks, locking systems, panel radiators, mixers, hammer drills. We produce gears and gear blocks for concrete mixers, gear boxes of steam heating valves, rollers, washers, bushes and other parts of different use. 3. Soft-magnetic powder metallurgy products. We produce magnetic circuits for electric meters, pole extensions for electric motors, armature and other soft magnetic parts for electric industry which are representatives of this group of products.
