Dona-Sed is a workshop specializing in the handcrafted production of traditional Bulgarian folk costumes, stage costumes, and clothing for every occasion.
Here, tradition meets modern craftsmanship, and every costume is created not only to look beautiful but also to provide exceptional comfort while dancing.
Bulgarian folklore is rich in dynamic movements – jumps, spins, rapid rhythm changes, and energetic choreography. That is why Dona-Sed costumes are designed to be lightweight, elegant, flexible, and comfortable, allowing every dancer to move freely and confidently.
The Story of Dona-Sed
Dona-Sed Atelier was founded in 2014 by Donka Sapundzhieva – a craftswoman with a deep passion for Bulgarian folklore.
The very first costume she created was for the "Sedenchitsa" Folk Ensemble – a Pirin folk costume for the dance "Pusta Mladost".
From that moment, the atelier began its journey—a journey in which every costume carries the spirit of its region, the story behind the dance, and the individuality of the performer.

Dona-Sed Atelier was founded in 2014 by Donka Sapundzhieva – a craftswoman with a deep passion for Bulgarian folklore.
