Hello, I am Yoana Hubinova – a psychologist with a Master’s degree from Brunel University London. I work with adults who want to better understand themselves, cope with everyday stress, or build a calmer and more balanced inner world. I believe that change begins with the way we see ourselves – our bodies, the roles we fulfil, and the stories we carry.
In my practice, I pay attention to the internal attitudes and beliefs that often shape our decisions, relationships, and the way we experience difficulties. Sessions provide a space where a person can speak freely, make sense of their own experiences, and find more sustainable ways of coping – without pressure, without promises of quick results, but with respect for each person’s individual pace.

My academic work focuses on topics such as body image, self-esteem, body positivity, and body neutrality. This focus naturally led me to work with people who are considering or have already undergone aesthetic interventions. In these situations, questions often arise regarding expectations, adapting to change, and accepting a new body image – topics that require attention, sensitivity, and support.
I have a postgraduate qualification in Positive Psychology and Wellbeing from Harvard University, which broadens my perspective on topics such as sustainable satisfaction, balance, and a fulfilling life. I am currently training in cognitive behavioural therapy, which complements my work with a clear structure and practical techniques for coping with anxiety, stress, and emotional overload.
My approach is calm, supportive, and structured. Each session is focused on better understanding what is happening – what the main concerns are, what realistic expectations look like, and what steps can be taken. I do not provide ready-made solutions; instead, I help people find their own – solutions that are sustainable, realistic, and aligned with their lives.
It is important to me that the process is clear and predictable. At the beginning, we clarify the topics we will work on, the frequency of sessions, and the framework of the counselling process. This allows the person to know what to expect and feel more secure throughout the process.
I offer individual, couples, and family counselling. Online sessions are a convenient option for people with busy lifestyles or for those who live outside Plovdiv. The format is the same – structured, professional, and focused on real, achievable change.
The work is evidence-based and adapted to real life – with its limitations, responsibilities, and pace. Each topic is addressed specifically, with clear goals and realistic steps. I do not promise quick results; instead, we work towards gradual, sustainable change that is meaningful to the person and consistent with their values.
If you feel that you need a space where you can organise your thoughts and feelings, explore certain topics more calmly, or look for more sustainable ways of coping, you can reach out to a psychologist. Sessions are focused on better self-understanding, more realistic expectations, and greater psychological wellbeing in everyday life.
