Bells – “Veleganov” Plovdiv manufactures bells from tin bronze using a family casting technology. The bells can be produced with a specific tone and an inscription upon the client’s request. Depending on their weight, they can be harmonized, meaning that if there are two or more bells, they can form a sequence of tones. Bells made by us can be found in almost all churches in Bulgaria, as well as in churches in North Macedonia, Serbia, Germany and Turkey.

Candle Holders – The candle holders of “Veleganov” are made of solid brass, with different plate diameters, number of sockets and height.

Chandeliers – The chandeliers are made of solid brass and come in a wide range of sizes. Depending on the client’s preferences, the number of lamps and the diameter of the chandeliers vary.

Memorial Stands – “Veleganov” manufactures memorial stands from solid brass. According to the client’s preferences, they can be made with plates or in a circular shape.

The company “Veleganov” in Plovdiv was founded in 1872 by the brothers Lazar and Ivan Veleganov. The establishment of the company coincides with the pre‑liberation era of Bulgaria, and the Veleganov brothers actively participated in the preparation of the April Uprising by casting lion emblems and bullets for the rebels.

After the Ottoman authorities captured Ivan Veleganov (who died in prison after torture), the second brother, Lazar, continued to expand the company’s activities. He began casting church bells, candle holders and other ecclesiastical metalwork.

The successors of Lazar Veleganov are Blago Veleganov and later his son, also named Lazar Veleganov, who oriented the company not only toward producing bells with specific tonal qualities, but also toward manufacturing church chandeliers, candle holders, memorial stands and various decorative brass elements.

The bells produced by the company have won many awards and recognition at exhibitions in Plovdiv and other cities. The quality of the bells and candle holders cast by our company has been proven and recognized to this day. Today, we—the descendants of the Veleganov brothers—continue to produce church bells, candle holders and chandeliers that adorn churches throughout Bulgaria, North Macedonia and Germany.
