In 1993, Ivan Bonchev Paterkov registered the company “Desi-and-Ivan Paterkov” as a sole trader, based in Stara Zagora, with activities including trade, purchase and sale, supply and transport of packaged foods, as well as any other business activity not prohibited by law.

The company began its production activity in early 1998 as a transport company focused on road and container freight transport. In conditions of strong competition and a still small fleet — one tractor unit and two semi‑trailers — the company “ET – Desi and Ivan Paterkov” relied on four main principles: safety, efficiency, precision and above all correctness towards clients and partners.

The established name and dynamic development of the company on the local market ensured advantageous contracts with leading international and Bulgarian carriers, shipping lines and agents, and the expansion of its partner network abroad and in Bulgaria. All this allows us to operate with various types of cargo: containerized, conventional, oversized cargo, dangerous goods, excise goods, customs‑controlled goods, diplomatic and personal luggage, fair equipment and exhibition items. In 1999 the company was restructured into a limited liability company “Paterkov” Ltd., reg. No. f.d1675/2004, Stara Zagora.

To stay competitive, Mr. Paterkov significantly expanded the fleet in a short period, choosing vehicles from the German manufacturer MAN Nutzfahrzeuge AG.

In less than a year, the material and vehicle base expanded — the MAN tractor units became 8, and the semi‑trailers 12. Warehouses were opened in Haskovo, Plovdiv and Stryama. Loading and unloading activities are performed with three LINDE forklifts. The company also purchased a crane to ensure a container depot in Stara Zagora, improving flexibility and delivery speed.

Currently, the company has:

• Own base – located on an area of 10 decares + relaxation and party area
• 25 MAN tractor units with EURO 4 and EURO 5 engines, all equipped with GPS navigation and compliant with transport requirements in Bulgaria and the EU;
• License No. 1324/13.03.2007 for international road freight transport;
• Mobile communication with drivers during transport, providing real‑time location information;
• All vehicles have CMR insurance / carrier liability, customs suitability;
• Each tractor and semi‑trailer has an ADR certificate for the transport of dangerous goods;
• The company is admitted to the TIR system;
• Issued EORI number BGA123677749ZZZZ6;
• Member of AEBTRI‑Service;
• Reliable and well‑trained drivers, qualified for dangerous goods transport;
• The company operates according to applicable international agreements and conventions, FIATA documents, General Forwarding Conditions, General Warehouse Conditions and Bulgarian legislation;
• The semi‑trailers are Schmitz, KRONE, RENDERS, BURG, SCHWARZ, MULLER, KESBOLER, all certified for ADR transport.

Parallel to the growth of the fleet, the range of services expanded. In November 2009, the company opened a Service Base equipped with alignment stands, play detectors and diagnostic equipment for technical inspection of light and heavy vehicles, ensuring safety, emission control and noise reduction compliance.
