By producing over 10% of the lavender oil on national scale, Ester Oil Nachevi Ltd is the biggest producer in Northeast Bulgaria. Ester Oil Nachevi Ltd is small, family owned business, based in General Toshevo. The company starts in 2001, when the first 20 decars of lavender plantations are created. At the beginning the company's activity starts as an addition to the family budget. Throughout the years the areas with lavender plantations are gradually increased, generally by the use of hand labor. In 2003 the company buys its first tractor, for cultivation of its own land In 2007 the first lavender harvesting machine is assembled with own efforts In 2008, on rented land, the first areas of bitter fennel are planted. By the end of 2008 the family business is primarily oriented towards the production of essential-oil crops, the sale of agricultural production to different processing plants, as well as the production of planting material. As a natural extension of its agricultural activity, Ester Oil Nachevi Ltd, is officially registered in 2008 and develops its first capacities for essential-oil raw materials distilling. This is how the company closes the cycle of production starting from the planting material, going through the sowing and harvesting and finishing with the production of the first lavender oil. In 2009 the company produces its first own lavender oil as well as bitter fennel oil. Over the years the company managed to attract external customers, providing services of growing, harvesting and processing of oil-bearing crops. Gradually over the years the company managed to establish itself as honest and reliable partner to its customers and suppliers. At the end of 2010 the company launched modernization and extension of capacity that has been put to work in 2011, thus allowing the procession of up to 60 tons of lavender per day       Products:      Lavender oil High quality oil from carefully grown lavender in the arrays of Ester Oil Nachevi Ltd Characteristics and applications of lavender oil Lavender belongs to the Lavandula kind, Lamiaceae family. Lavender of the sort Lavandula vera D.C. is the only kind cultivated in our country. The lavender essential oil is extracted by steam distillation of fresh flowers. Lavender oil is an easy flowing, clear, pale yellow liquid with characteristic floral scent. Lavender oil contains about 74% oxygen terpene compounds, approximately 16% terpene hydrocarbons and 10% sesquiterpenes and polymers. Key ingredients are linalylacetate and linalolate. The most valuable ester is the linalilacetate, which, depending on soil and climatic conditions, ranges from 30% to 60%. The quantity of linalool ranges between 28% and 46%. The essential oil of lavender includes a-terpinenol, limonene, beta myrcene, beta ocimene, 1,8- cineol, geraniol, borneol and others Lavender oil has strong antiseptic and soothing effect. Bitter fennel oil is yellow-brown, easily removable liquid with characteristic scent and bitter aftertaste. It freezes at 6-7 degrees Celsius. Key ingredients are trans-anethole 50-66%, methyl chavicole 3-20% and fenchone 9-22%. The carbon hydrates in the oil are 5-6%- a-pinene, limonene, y-terpinene, cis-ocimene, myrcene and others.
