About us:
Дом за Възрастни Хора Света Анна

The “St. Anna” Home for Elderly People in the village of Kamenovo, Nova Zagora Municipality, Sliven Region, was established in 2004 as a modern alternative to the existing state institutions for elderly care. From the very beginning, the home was designed and built with one main goal – to provide a space that truly meets the needs of elderly people: safety, peace, accessibility and a cozy environment close to a real home.

The building is specially designed for the purposes of the social service – wide corridors, comfortable rooms, common areas for communication and activities, green outdoor spaces for walks and rest. All this allows residents to feel secure, free and respected, without the feeling of being in a cold institution.

The care provided at the “St. Anna” Home takes into account the individual needs of each person. The staff works according to established standards, but always with attention to the personal history, health condition, habits and preferences of the residents. They can give recommendations regarding the organization of work, the daily routine and the way services are provided, and we strive to respond to these recommendations.

The “St. Anna” Home is licensed by the Agency for the Quality of Social Services (AKSU) and has more than 18 years of experience in the field of social services for elderly people. The license guarantees that the activity is carried out in accordance with the current legislation and all requirements for quality, safety and professional care.

Relations with residents and their families are based on clear contractual conditions. Upon admission, a contract is signed, describing in detail the rights and obligations of both parties, the types of services provided and the payment terms. This creates transparency, trust and peace of mind for families who entrust their loved ones to our care.

The Home gives you the opportunity to provide your relatives with the care they truly need when everyday life has become difficult to manage alone. For many families, the decision to entrust an elderly person to professional care is emotional and challenging. We understand this and strive to be a partner – to provide security, attention and respect for the personality of each resident.

At the “St. Anna” Home we provide medical monitoring and supportive treatment prescribed by a doctor. Health care is focused on the well‑being of the resident, on maintaining a stable health condition, preventing complications and relieving pain. Mobility support and rehabilitation are organized according to the abilities and needs of each person, in order to preserve their independence as much as possible.

A homelike atmosphere under professional care – this is the main principle we follow. Although the Home is a specialized service, the environment is close to a real home: warm colors, comfortable furniture, common areas for conversations and activities, the possibility to keep personal belongings and memories. In this way, elderly people can preserve their dignity and feel respected and accepted, not just “patients” or “residents”.

Over the years, the “St. Anna” Home has built a solid reputation and trust among families seeking quality care for their loved ones. Many of our residents come upon recommendation from other families who have already experienced the professionalism and human attitude of our team. For us, this is the greatest recognition.

SERVICES

The “St. Anna” Home for Elderly People provides year‑round social services aimed at meeting the personal needs of elderly individuals. Services are provided according to the wishes and personal choices of the residents, taking into account their health condition, level of independence and individual needs. The goal is to ensure a safe, calm and supportive environment in which each person feels protected and respected.

Attention and care for the residents are at the heart of our work. The sanitary and hygienic conditions in the “St. Anna” Home are at a high level – premises are cleaned regularly, and all requirements for hygiene, disinfection and safety are strictly observed. Rooms are bright and comfortable, with the possibility to personalize the space according to the preferences of the residents.

The premises and living conditions are important, but even more important is the care that elderly people receive. It is individualized according to each person’s needs – some require more assistance with daily activities, others need more attention and communication. We stimulate and encourage the potential of every resident by involving them in different activities and helping them remain active and interested in life.

Participation in community life is an essential part of the stay in the Home. We organize quiet games, walks (including with a wheelchair), daily visits from relatives, phone calls, reading books and newspapers, watching TV, friendly conversations. Birthdays, name days and official holidays are celebrated to create a sense of community and shared moments.

Meals are tailored to the dietary needs and personal preferences of the residents. The menu is designed to be balanced, nutritious and suitable for elderly people, including in cases of specific diets or health restrictions. When necessary, we consult doctors and nutrition specialists.

The staff of the Home includes social workers, medical professionals, caregivers and support staff who work as a team to provide comprehensive care. Each member of the team is trained to work with elderly people, showing patience, empathy and respect for their personality.
