The stamped concrete is a modern building technology transforming the common concrete into natural looking stone, wood, plates, granite, brickwork, etc. Thanks to this technology is achieved a decorative stamp concrete allowing more colors and forms choosing. The decorative stamp concrete gives exclusive realistic outward appearance and perfection of the construction objects. It possesses erosive resistance and longer durability compared to the classical concrete because of the using of protective lacquer coating. The stamp concrete is suitable for aesthetic construction of roads, sports grounds, walkways, outside garages, platforms, outside car parks, for internal areas, facades and internal walls, stamp concrete around the swimming pools, outside of hotels entrances, in restaurants, shops etc. The stamp concrete technology was rising in the USA in the 60s. Later the decorative concrete appeared also in the United Kingdom. In the last years, this material was using worldwide because of its interesting projects. Beside the stamp concrete well known are also the separate concrete decorative elements. Architects, designers and investors have estimated the possibilities to create different variants of decorative surfaces using concrete. The colored and textured concrete permits prompt and lower losses comparing to the using of stone and ceramic facing, having the same decorative effect. Through the ages the natural stone is one of the most popular building and facing materials. As things are now it is the natural material with most number of artificial imitations. The decorative concrete is one of these imitations. Practical the outward appearance of the concrete encasements is not distinguished of the facings made of each type of natural stone. Namely that’s why this material is known under the name artificial stone. Initially the decorative concrete in forms of different elements imitating natural stone was destined for facing of building socles. But today its application is multilateral – is using for decoration of facades, fences, terraces, summer houses, fountains, columns, caves, also in the interior. This material gives also possibility for restoration of architectural monuments. The artificial stone owns its popularity on the low price, light construction and excellent decorative qualities. The components are various – acrylic and carbamide resins, polymer concrete, cement, ceramzit (light natural filler) dyes etc. the polymer connecting are using to reinforce the material raising its duration and improving the different exploitation qualities. The production process of artificial stone includes casting of prepared mixture in special forms. As result remarkable plates are obtained. On one side they are flat on the other side the surface repeats exactly the form, color and texture of natural stone. There are three procedures using in the stamp concrete which is different from the common classical concrete – addition of basic color, of accent color and stamping of relief stamp on the concrete. These three procedures cover the stamp concrete with color and form like the natural construction materials: - Addition of the basic color - The basic color is the main color using in the stamp concrete. It is chosen to reflect the color of natural building material. It applies by addition of coloring agent to the concrete. The coloring agent is a dust pigment using for concrete coloring. It can be performed by one of the following procedures: integral color or filling of colored dust. The integral color is a procedure where the whole concrete is colored in the basic color by addition of coloring agent into motomixer. The filling of dust coloring agent is a procedure where the concrete surface will be colored by scattering of color agent on the wet concrete surface and laying on the dust on the finishing coat of wet concrete - Addition of accent color - The accent color is a second coloring agent using in the stamp concrete. It is using to create texture and representing of additional building materials (for example – mortar) in stamp concrete. It is laying on by using of color separator to the concrete. The color separator has two aims: to color the concrete and to prevent the sticking to the stamps. The color separator can be laid on by two methods: manual filling of color dust or by pulverizer before the concrete stamp - Stamp pattern - The stamp unseals a figure on the stamp concrete surface. It reproduces the form of natural building materials by unsealing on the concrete immediately after the filling of stamp concrete. The most modern concrete stamps are performed by polyurethane but the older by metal. By the older stamps is missing the possibility to imitate the natural stone. The concrete stamps are applied after the filling of color separator and after pressure it separates leaving a stamp on the concrete
